Just a few days ago, the USPS announced the release of a new, larger flat-rate box along with a military discount. According to the news release, the new Priority Mail Large Flat-Rate Box (12″ x 12″ x 5½”) can be used for both domestic and international shipments. Domestic shipping for the new box will cost $12.95. There will be a version of the box that is specifically for the military and will cost $2 less if shipped to an Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO).
