I. Security and Privacy
OPSEC
OPerations SECurity is very important to understand when dealing with the government. OPSEC helps to protect classified and unclassified government information. In accordance with OPSEC, the following are not allowed on the forums:
- Last names
- All Dates (Returning/Leaving/R&R, etc)Exact Unit numbers or Unit Name
- Exact locations overseas (Bases, Posts, Forts, Ports)
- Addresses, email, phone numbers
Personal Responsibility
Sharing Personal Information
- Each individual user is responsible for keeping her personal information secure. However, the administrators/moderators of this forum will not allow you share your last name, address, phone number, etc. on the forums. If you still choose to share this information, please keep it to private messages (PMs) or third party messaging systems (AIM/Yahoo/MSN).
Email Address
- Members are responsible for maintaining an accurate email address in order for the forum administrators/moderators to contact them in the event of new information or important updates. A valid email address is also required for members to validate their account and for changing account information and passwords.
II. Personal Conduct
Inappropriate Content
Profanity
- This site uses language filters for the most offensive of language. If you do not like the language another member uses, do not read that post.
Images
- Any images that are sexual in nature need to be posted to the “Sexual Health” forum, please.
Miscellaneous
- Any other content deemed inappropriate will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Expressing Opinions
- It is understood that each of us will not always agree. Expressing your opinion is encouraged, so long as it is done in a considerate manner. Please do not resort to swearing and name calling to try and get your point across.
Disciplinary Actions
- Punishments will reflect the severity of each individual violation.
- Disciplinary action will typically begin with a warning to immediately cease the unacceptable behavior. Do not expect to get more than one warning.
- Each subsequent violation will result in a more severe punishment. This may range from a loss of privileges to temporary and permanent bans from the site.
Reporting
- Please report any post (or PM) containing material that is objectionable to you, whether it be obscene or harassing.
III. Members’ Rights
- You remain exclusively responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the members of this message board, www.armywifeconnection.com and its owner(s) or managers.
- You must follow OPSEC at all times.
- This board is a place for support. As such, all members will refrain from posting any harassing or disrespectful messages both on the forums and via the private messaging system.
- Discrimination towards other members based on rank, race, creed, sex or color will not be tolerated. Always treat others with respect.
- Administrators/moderators have absolute authority to edit or delete any post for objectionable content, and to warn, restrict, and ban members as necessary.
- Please keep signatures short. You are limited to one picture or collage in your signature of the maximum allowable height and width. The maximum height is 360px and the maximum width is 480px. This includes glitters and any other images.You are, of course, allowed to have more than two images if they fall well under the maximums and their combined height and width does not exceed the maximums.Tickers do not have to fit within these guidelines.
- Deployment countdown tickers are not allowed.
- Inactive accounts will be removed without further notice unless a post has been made in the MIA forum.
- If you suspect another member is consistently lying, PM an administrator/moderator with your concerns and we will deal with them. If it is determined that a user is lying, they will be permanently banned.
IV. Forum Access
- Some forums may not be available until you have a certain number of posts or have been around for a predetermined amount of time.
- Access to the “Sexual Health” forum is only available to members who are 18 years of age and older. Access is based on community involvement.
The owner and administrators reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. By registering and remaining a member, you are agreeing to these terms as well as any future changes in the terms. It is your responsibility to know and abide by these terms, regardless of changes made.
